The work amongst the children and young people at St Michael's is currently under the direction of the Children & Youth Committee (Chair: Peter Coates) and the Children & Youth Co-ordinator Anne Stockdale.  Their Vision Statement is ...

Through the Children and Youth work, we should encourage and enable our young people to:

- Gain an understanding of the Gospel message

- Have opportunities to respond personally to the Gospel

- Belong to the body of Christ as active members

- Live and articulate the Gospel in a fallen world

- Know how to live a life which pleases God

- Pray and worship regularly

- Read the Bible regularly

There are Sunday teaching groups for the following:
Scramblers (2½ to 4), Climbers (4 to 7), J-Team (7 to 10) and Pathfinders (11-14).  There is also a crèche for under-2's.

There is usually a CYFA group for the 14-18's but this is currently not meeting.  (See NAFF at StM@NS)

See the Newton School link for info about their children and youth activities.

There are uniformed groups connected with St Michaels: Brownies, Guides and Beavers.
